PATRIZIA MORANDINI
Patrizia Morandini was Born in Brasil. When she was a child she moved with her family to Florence in Italy. She commenced her musical studies at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory. In addition to graduating in singing opera, she also completed courses in piano and composition. Later Patrizia took part in many singing competitions amongst these was famous Pavarotti Competition in Philadelphia and Puccinian Voice Competition in Lucca. She made her first debut in the Threepenny Opera by Bertold Brecht and in Elektra by Richard Strauss at Theater Comunale of Florence. Patrizia’s international career took her to concerts in Russia, Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Portugal, England, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. She also interpreted major roles in Aida, Madama Butterly, Turandot, Trovatore, Orpheus and Eurydice, the Bohème, the Forza del Destino, Pagliacci, Suor Angelica, and Masked Ball, Norma, Manon Lescaut e Adriana Lecouvreur. Since 2008 with the Florence Opera project she has taken on a new important experience. She has directed Suor Angelica, Madama Butterfly and Bohème by Puccini, Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni. For the Franchigena Festival with the Accademia Geminiani she directed il Tabarro by Puccini. In 2010 for Prato Estate at the Castello of Imperatore she directed the Sacco di Prato and the Cicogna and Cigno. During October in the year, Patrizia directed Mozart’s Magic Flute in Florence’s Valdese Temple. In 2014 she directed Tosca at the Varii Theater in Colle Val d’Elsa, Madama Butterfly at the Popolo Theater in Colle Val d’Elsa and Orpheus and Eurydice by Gluck at the Empoli’s Exhibition Palace. In April 2015 she directed Dido and Eneas by Purcell in the Leggieri Theater in San Gimignano. Patrizia has participated in many Italian and international TV broadcasts. Patrizia has also recorded for the label Bongiovanni “Frammenti dall’Erani” (incomplete), “Cleopatra” by Vincenzo Bellini and “Liriche per voce e pianoforte” by Domenico Cimarosa for the label MIM Records.
